Hello, my name is Dr. Lindsey Williams and I am thrilled to be starting this therapeutic journey with you. My philosophy has always been that you know your situation and what’s best for you better than anyone. I’m simply here to help guide you and support you during this difficult time of your life or even transformative time. I previously specialized in victim advocacy work for multiple police departments in Adams county helping victims of crime in guiding, supporting and empowering individuals and families during a very difficult time in their life. Let’s build a therapeutic foundation together to become the best version of you.
I have a PhD from Capella University in social work, a Masters from Newman University in social work, and a Bachelors from Metropolitan State University of Denver in social work. My whole academic career was focused on trauma informed care and best practices. During my academic career I interned with the Brighton police department, CCAI adoption agency and the Rocky Mountain Victim law center. All internships were strength and trauma focused. I chose social work because of there mission and core values of: service, social justice, dignity and worth of a person, importance of human relationships, integrity and competence. I integrate all these values into my work as a counselor.
I am a mother of four ranging in ages from one to fifteen. I am a native to Colorado and grew up in Aurora. When I’m not attending extra curricular activities with my children and picking up after them I can be found at home watching documentaries and snuggling with my bull dog. I love traveling and trying new restaurants. I myself come from a large diverse family being the youngest of six.
Let’s get started on our work together today!
